About the role

We have a great opportunity to manage and co-ordinate the end-to-end execution of Future Networks projects focused on integrating renewable energy, enabling flexible export systems, and deploying next-generation grid capabilities.

You will be embedded withing our Enterprise Project Management Office team reporting to the Senior Project Manager and Project Director and get the opportunity to work closely with the Future Networks and Markets team across a wide range of innovative projects in the business. This role will support the rollout of flexible exports and emergency backstop solutions across NSW over the next 12 months.

You’ll get the opportunity to apply both waterfall and agile delivery approaches and be responsible to ensure the successful delivery within agreed milestones, budget and timeframe.

Ideally you will come with a passion for the energy transition, decarbonisation of the grid, and enabling renewable energy at scale, including a background of delivering digital and systems integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate works to ensure compliance with company, safety, legislative, financial and environmental standards.
  • Apply risk management to balance time, cost and resources, delivering cost-effective projects aligned with network and customer priorities.
  • Develop and implement project delivery, safety, environmental and risk management plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing outcomes to enhance productivity and performance.
  • Contribute to project/program cost and resource planning and forecasting.
  • Oversee design, construction and commissioning phases, coordinating with Design, Scheduling and Operations teams.
  • Manage contractors safely and effectively, including procurement, tendering, contract administration and service delivery.
  • Control project costs, ensuring accurate forecasting, timely financial variations and budget compliance.
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting on project delivery, budget performance, risks, issues and solutions.

About you

You’re a proactive and adaptable Project Manager who thrives in dynamic environments. You’re comfortable operating in ambiguity and can bring clarity and direction where it’s needed most. With a natural ability to engage and align diverse stakeholders, you build trust quickly and communicate with impact. You’re energised by solving complex problems, exploring new ideas, and driving initiatives forward—even when the path isn’t fully defined. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and you’re always looking for ways to deliver value and improve outcomes.

Skills and requirements

  • Diploma in Project Management
  • Advanced Diploma in Business, Engineering or related field
  • Workcover Induction for Construction Work - General Course 
  • Specialised Professional with 3-10 years’ experience in a similar/professional role within the Construction, Energy/Electrical or Utilities industries.
