Position Purpose
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of systems related to ADMS SCADA, automation, voltage optimisation and other real-time operations.
You will lead a specialist team of professionals, collaborating with cross-functional teams and partners to deliver robust, reliable, efficient, and secure real-time solutions.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and manage the planning, execution, and implementation of ADMS real-time systems projects, including SCADA, automation i.e FLISR, voltage optimisation, and other real-time operations.
- Responsible for implementing global best practices in systems design, business processes, project execution and operations with commercially sound business decisions.
- Responsible for the allocation and management resources effectively to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure real-time systems meet or exceed stability, reliability, performance, and security requirements.
- Lead change management activities including training, documentation, communication, and support.
- Lead the integration of real-time systems into business operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and processes.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for real-time systems to ensure smooth and sustainable operations.
- Lead initiatives to drive continuous improvement in the delivery and operations of ADMS real-time systems.
- Mentor, coach, and support team members to build an inclusive culture and develop high-performing teams.
- Engage, influence, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful change management outcomes.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry standards, regulations, cybersecurity requirements and best practices to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
Qualifications, Certifications and Licences
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in a similar professional role in Energy/Electrical or Utilities Industries
- Proven business or technical work experience in one or more of the following digital grid focus areas: DMS, EMS, DERMS.
- Experience in transforming data into strategic business projects and insights.
- Significant experience and ability to influence and engage stakeholders to provide innovative strategies and solutions.
- Strong leadership capability to lead small teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Strong commercial focus, analytical and problem-solving ability and highly collaborative.
- Thought leadership and change management.
