Role Overview

Reporting to the Transmission Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for prioritising and developing work programmes for the Transmission group. This includes allocating work crews, acting as the main point of contact between Transmission Manager, Operations Managers, Project Managers, CNS and Distribution groups, with a focus on improving output and efficiency of field teams. The role also involves addressing system limitations and driving OPEX and CAPEX efficiency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with Transmission staff to enable effective information flow for programming and planning.
  • Prioritise programmes and communicate priorities to Technical Support staff and Operations Managers to ensure resources align with organisational objectives.
  • Develop work programmes that drive significant improvements in delivery and efficiency for field staff, improving overall performance of the Team.
  • Identify, develop, and implement efficiency improvements and strategies by leveraging data from multiple systems and portfolios, ensuring all work within a geographic or electrical isolation area is completed in the fewest possible visits.
  • Review and analyse programming strategies, processes and system to further improve overall team performance and utilisation.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Electrical trade qualification.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and analytical ability.
  • C-class vehicle licence (up to 4.5 tonnes GVM).
  • WorkCover Induction for Construction Work – General Course.

Highly Desirable:

  • Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering.
  • Certificate in Management/Supervision.
