Position Purpose

Running from Dec-Feb, vacation work provides students with a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience over their three-month University summer vacation period.

You’ll put the theory you’ve learnt at University into practice by assisting in short-term engineering projects in areas such as transmission and distribution engineering, renewable energy, protection and control and field operations and support.

Better still, towards the end of your studies, you may be able to apply for a position on our Graduate Program.

Key Accountabilities

To obtain meaningful experience in various areas such as:

• Electrical or civil design, system operations, protection & automation, asset management, network planning, data & insights, sustainability and environmental.

Qualifications, Certifications and Licences

• Engineering, Data Science, finance, sustainability and commerce students with a minimum of a credit average
• Penultimate or final year of study preferred. 

Skills and Experience

• Hungry to learn, and thrive in challenging environments
• Excellent communicators and team players
• Critical and innovative thinkers, looking outside the box to analyse and solve problems
• Those with a desire to contribute to the communities we serve.
