About the role
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Bushfire Mitigation Team – where you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering bushfire risk mitigation projects. The successful candidate will display:
- Commercial acumen;
- Leveraging expertise in power systems and electrical engineering;
- Risk analysis and data analysis;
- Be an energised and proactive individual;
- The ability to build effective relationships and drive successful outcomes.
Key accountabilities
- Lead Strategic Bushfire Risk Initiatives: Direct the strategic delivery of bushfire risk mitigation projects, including end-to-end project management of investment opportunities, and identifying cost-effective investments.
- Advance Data-Driven Risk Management: Utilise advanced data analytics tools (e.g., Python, FME, SQL) to analyse network data, fault events, and fire-start potential. Integrate insights into business activities and actionable strategies or investment decisions.
- Enhance Risk Assessment Frameworks: Develop, improve and implement data-driven bushfire risk assessment tools and frameworks to proactively manage business risk.
- Provide Electrical Engineering Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert on power systems in the context of bushfire risk. Support cross-functional teams with technical guidance on network operations in high fire danger periods.
- Lead Investigations and Technical Reviews: Conduct engineering investigations into fire-related incidents involving the electrical network. Manage root cause analysis, stakeholder communication, and follow-up improvements.
- Innovate for Resilience: Monitor industry advancements in power system technology, fire-start prevention, and network design. Evaluate emerging technologies application within Endeavour’s bushfire strategy.

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical)
Licences / tickets
- C Vehicle licence up to 4.5 tonnes gross vehicle mass (GVM)
- Green Card Workcover Induction for Construction Work - General Course
