In the role of Co-op Student - Plant Mechanic, you will be given the opportunity to work directly with our Plant Mechanics in the field at our Dawn Storage and Transmission Natural Gas Operations as well as our remote Storage locations. You will be given the opportunity job shadow proactive and reactive maintenance on a variety of different types of equipment, assist in troubleshoot problems as they arise in the field as well as learn a variety of construction methods. This job will take you out into the field, offering practical hands-on experience. This is a great job for people who have a mechanical aptitude and a strong investigative nature.

Placement Details:

There are three 4-month summer placements starting in May 2026 located in Dresden, ON (Dawn-Euphemia Site) and Mooretown, ON (Tecumseh Site)

What you will do:

  • Job shadow and learn on the following items:
  • Turbine and Reciprocating Engine and Compressor Maintenance
  • Valve Maintenance
  • Troubleshoot issues on Auxiliary Systems (air compressors, glycol pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, generators, etc.)
  • Be involved in Construction Projects.

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying Mechanical/Millwright Program or equivalent and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
  • Basic knowledge of plant equipment/piping/instrumentation.
  • Willing and able to perform physical labour.
  • Valid driver’s license and responsible driving record.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with the ability to connect with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance)

 Working Conditions: 

  • Field-based roles, located in Dresden, ON and Mooretown, ON (Dawn-Euphemia and other sites).
  • For site visits, access to a personal vehicle may be required.
  • You will be required to wear a hard hat, safety boots, eye protection and hearing protection at all locations. Some locations will also require Fire Retardant outer clothing.
  • Bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs) and climbing will be required
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.

Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge’s Student Contractor Program. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
