Gas Distribution and Storage – Summer Student

In the role of Gas Distribution and Storage – Summer Student, you will provide support for the ordering of locates and permits, including emergency requests, sewer laterals, and other permits, ensuring work is scheduled efficiently and accurately. It’s an excellent job for students with strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and an interest in energy operations.

Placement Details:

This is a 4-month summer placement starting in May 2026, located in North Bay, ON.

What you will do:

• Order locates and permits using online request forms and tracking tools.
• Follow up with utilities, LSPs, and municipalities to resolve permit conflicts prior to scheduling work.
• Assemble locate packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and attach them to the correct work orders in Maximo.
• Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner.
• Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as assigned.

Who you are:

• You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying any discipline and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
• Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
• Excellent keyboarding skills.
• Knowledge of SAP, GIS, and Maximo is an asset.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based role, located in North Bay, ON.
• Relocation assistance is not provided
