As a Summer Student performing Grounds Maintenance, you will assist with building and grounds maintenance, right-of-way maintenance, housekeeping duties of all buildings, painting of facility equipment, minor equipment and vehicle maintenance. It’s an excellent job for people who are looking to gain exposure to the oil and gas industry
Placement Details:
Three 4-month opportunities are starting May 2026, located in Sarnia, ON.
What you will do:
The position will include a mix of shop, field and office work; including the following:
- Grass cutting.
- Paint piping, safety barriers, work platforms and ROW marker posts.
- Climbing tanks and inspecting the roof prior to draining water from the tank.
- Shop and yard clean-up.
- Window cleaning.
- Vehicle cleaning.
- Assist Pipeline Maintenance staff with pipeline maintenance tasks and during leak investigations.
- Assist in the clean-up of any oil leaks.
- Assist other departments as required.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings and Emergency Response exercises.
- Assist with clerical tasks when and if required. i.e. filing, data entry, reception, copying, scanning, etc.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
- Valid Full G Class Driver's License and responsible driving record.
- Positive demeanour and self-starter.
- Willing and able to perform physical labour.
- Able to work outdoors in any weather wearing Fire Retardant clothing.
- Ability to work alone or in a group.
- Proficiency with MS Office; especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint is an asset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially when handling critical documents and company information.
- Effective and professional communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and responsible driving record.
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role, located in Sarnia, ON.
- Relocation assistance is not provided.
- There is no public transportation to the facility. Students will be required to drive.
