In the role of Instrumentation and Controls Operations - Summer Student you will be the eyes and ears for the STO team on the ground, ensuring timely accurate reporting while collaborating closely with other teams. This job will take you out into the field, offering practical hands-on experience in addition to crucial in-office skills. This is a great job for people who have a mechanical aptitude and a strong investigative nature.

Placement Details:

There are two 4 month placements starting in May 2026. Both roles are located in Dresden, ON (Dawn-Euphemia Site)

What you will do:

  • Assist the Instrument/Electrical/SCADA group.
  • Complete require site PM’s on the Instrumentation.
  • Complete schedule outages of the Instrumentation.
  • Complete troubleshooting and corrective work on the Instrumentation.
  • Support the Instrumentation Projects (design, purchasing, installation and commissioning).
  • Support troubleshooting and repairs on other site equipment (valves, utility systems, lube systems etc.).

 Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying Instrumentation & Control Engineering Technology – Industrial Automation and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.  
  • Must be mechanically inclined. Willing and physically able to perform physical tasks in an outdoor work environment.
  • Valid driver’s license, responsible driving record with access to your own vehicle is an asset.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, and Inclusion).

 Working Conditions: 

  • Field-based role, located in Dresden, ON (Dawn-Euphemia Site).
  • Relocation assistance is not provided
  • Interviews will be conducted on site

Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge’s Student Contractor Program. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
