In the role of US Utilities Integration (USUI) PMO Summer Intern, you will support a large technology and business transformation program by assisting with planning, governance, reporting, and coordination across multiple workstreams. It’s an excellent job for people who are eager to learn, interested in project management and technology programs, and want hands-on experience in a fast-paced PMO environment.
Placement Details:
This is an 3 month placement starting in June 2026, located in Houston, TX.
What you will do:
Under the guidance of the USUI PMO team, the intern will support day‑to‑day PMO activities, including:
- Assisting with program status reporting, including compiling inputs from workstreams and helping prepare weekly and monthly updates
- Supporting RAID management (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) by tracking updates and ensuring logs are current
- Helping maintain integrated schedules and milestone trackers in tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, or MS Project (as appropriate)
- Supporting meeting preparation (agendas, materials) and documenting key decisions and actions from PMO and governance forums
- Assisting with document management, ensuring PMO templates, trackers, and reference materials are organized and up to date
- Performing basic data analysis (e.g., trends in risks, issues, milestones) to support PMO insights
- Supporting ad‑hoc PMO initiatives such as process improvements, dashboards, or lessons‑learned summaries
What You Will Learn (On‑the‑Job)
This role is intentionally structured to allow a student to build PMO fundamentals quickly, including:
- How large enterprise programs are governed and managed
- How to track and report program health (schedule, risks, dependencies)
- How to structure clear, executive‑ready updates
- How PMOs coordinate across multiple teams and vendors
- Exposure to enterprise tools and methodologies used in real transformation programs
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
- Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
Preferred (Nice to Have, Not Required)
- Coursework or interest in project management, operations, or technology
- Familiarity with concepts such as schedules, risks, or action tracking
- Experience working in team‑based or structured environments (school projects, part‑time work, co‑op, etc.)
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy desired
