In the role of Engineering Summer Intern you will provide assistance to Staff Supervisors, Engineers, and Technical Advisors working within the In-Line Inspection (ILI) Monitoring and Pipeline Integrity Mitigations Teams. This assistance would be in the form of data analytics and translation, process evaluation, KPI development, along with other duties as assigned as we continue on our Data Systems and Strategy journey.
It’s an excellent job for gaining exposure to Pipeline Integrity as a whole, learning how we inspect our pipelines and how we keep them operating safely. You will get exposure to how we plan our inspection, enhancement and repair work. This is also a great opportunity to see how ILI tools are launched, retrieved and analyzed for decision making purposes, inclusive of the associated repair work taking place in the field.
Placement Details:
This is an 3 month placement starting in June, located in Houston, TX.
What you will do:
- Assist in reviewing and validating ILI data and anomaly repair data for accuracy and completeness.
- Support the preparation of KPIs, reports and presentations summarizing inspection and repair results for decision making purposes.
- Help maintain databases and documentation related to pipeline integrity and inspection activities. This includes improvement of overall data hygiene and standardization.
- Assist with Dig Sheet review, analytics and creation for field execution.
- Perform field visits to support local projects (as needed).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for data management and analysis processes.
- Identify opportunities to deploy and leverage AI, machine learning and automation into existing Pipeline Integrity processes and tools.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering discipline and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
- Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
- · Experience with data analytics and advanced Excel functionality is preferred.

- Office based role, located in Houston, TX.

Salary
Compensation for this role is determined based on the candidate’s year of study and academic discipline, in alignment with our established student pay structure.
