In the role of Power Data Modernization - Summer Student, you will support the LP Power Data Modernization (PDM) program to strengthen data foundations and analytics that help optimize LP power costs, improve operational decision-making, and contribute to emissions reductions. It’s an excellent job for people who are passionate about data and analytics and eager to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, inclusive, and safety-focused environment.
Placement Details:
This is an 4 month summer position starting in Calgary, AB.
What you will do:
- Data Quality & Monitoring: Support the profiling, validation, and continuous monitoring of power data to ensure accuracy and reliability for critical business analysis and reporting.
- Reporting & Analytics: Design and develop data models and reports that deliver high-level insights from validated power data. Create operational dashboards that empower business users to make informed, day-to-day decisions for system planning and optimization.
- Continuous Knowledge Management: Document processes and workflows to produce user-friendly guides for navigating foundational data. Maintain and update the data repository with business glossaries, data dictionaries, and other reference materials to support data literacy across teams.
- Implementation & Strategy: Contribute to agile implementation plans that enable smooth business transitions. Focus on delivering high-impact, value-driven solutions aligned with modernization goals.
- Team Collaboration & Ad-hoc Analysis: Collaborate with power data teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support ad hoc analysis. Help drive business objectives such as process improvement, data quality enhancement, productivity gains, and identification of future opportunities.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science or Business and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
- Strong Excel skills; Power BI knowledge is an asset.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and languages such as Databricks, SAS, SQL, Python.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Passion for upholding Enbridge's core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, and High Performance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to convey findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role, located in Calgary, AB.
