As a Facility Maintenance Summer Student, you will assist with facility housekeeping, painting and routine maintenance activities; yard and shop maintenance. Perform all duties with a high regard for safety.

Placement Details:

These are two 4-month summer placements starting in May 2024, located in Flamborough, Hamilton, ON. 

What you will do:

  • Ensure all work is in compliance with company safety, environmental and operating procedures.
  • Cleaning around terminal, stations and remote sites.
  • Pipeline right-of-way maintenance including grass cutting, painting and signage upgrades.
  • Terminal maintenance includes grass cutting, gardening, and painting.
  • Assist pipeline maintenance personnel. Interacting, collaborating and supporting different professionals and Enbridge departments.
  • Providing support to office staff or other project groups as required.
  • Other office administration duties (i.e., filing, photocopying, scanning, processing invoices, catering and expenses, etc.) as requested.

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written.
  • Effective time management with a keen attention to detail.
  • Computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Positive attitude and self-starter.
  • Ability to work in a team and/or independently.
  • Ability to operate (drive) equipment within the terminal such as ATVs, UTVs, mowers, etc.
  • Have a valid Full G Class (or equivalent) driver's license.
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, and Inclusion).

 Working Conditions: 

  • Located in Flamborough, Hamilton, ON (Westover Terminal).
  • Mix of shop work, working along the right of way, facilities within the terminal, stations and office environments.
  • You will be required to wear a hard hat, safety boots, eye protection and hearing protection.
  • You will require access to a personal vehicle as there is no public transportation to the location.
  • Physical ability including bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs) and climbing may be required.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided. 

Please note that this is a role providing contract labour to Enbridge through Raise, who manages Enbridge’s Student Contractor Program. If you are selected for this position, you will be employed by Raise and will not be an employee of Enbridge.
