Quality Assurance Meter Shop - Summer Student

In the role of Quality Assurance Meter Shop - Summer Student, you will perform testing on residential and commercial gas meters, operate and maintain critical meter testing equipment, and manage various clerical tasks. This role requires repetitive lifting of meters daily and maintaining a clean work area. It’s an excellent job for people who are passionate about quality assurance and eager to gain practical experience in a collaborative setting.

Placement Details:

This is a 4-month summer student placement starting in May 2026 located in Chatham, ON.

What you will do:

• Perform testing on residential and commercial gas meters.
• Operate and maintain critical meter testing equipment.
• Conduct various clerical tasks.
• Clean work area at the end of each day.
• Engage in repetitive lifting of meters as required.

Who you are:

• You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying Engineering Technologies, Engineering or Business and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
• Effective and professional communication both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite.
• Ability to stand and test meters for a full shift.
• Willing and able to perform physical labor.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Excel, Maximo, SAP.

Working Conditions:

• Field-based role, located in Chatham, ON.
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
