In the role of Engineering Summer Student, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of technical support activities including, compilation of drawing packages and technical information to support Regional Engineers and Technical Advisors.  It’s an excellent job for people who are organized and detail oriented. 

Placement Details:

This is a 4 month summer placement starting in May 2026, located in Fort McMurray, AB.

What you will do:

  • Providing support to the Engineering & Technical Services team
  • Support scoping, technical solution development and project completion of Regional Projects
  • Using all available systems to search and compile technical information in support of Regional Engineers or Technical Specialists.
  • Assist with estimation and budget submission
  • Support with Regional Project Integration by gathering regional feedback on detailed design drawings and equipment selection
  • Review new equipment purchase specifications against Enbridge Standards to ensure compliance
  • Assist with the Management of Change (MOC) submissions
  • Assist with Records Management

 Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.

  • Exposure to MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Numerical skills may be required

  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Nice to have:

  • Valid drivers license

 Working Conditions: 

  • 80% Office-based role, located at Athabasca Regional Office, Fort McMurray, AB.
  • This role may include up to 20% Field Work.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
