In the role of Mechanical Engineer you will provide assistance to lead Mechanical Construction Manager in reviewing construction prints for the installation of piping and associated equipment that provide an infrastructure to delivers a product from a producer through the pipeline to a customers and must be able to provide assistance in developing corrective actions on design changes in the field when needed. It’s an excellent job for Junior/Senior Student Engineer that is preparing for his or her future career in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Placement Details:

This is an 3 month placement starting in June 2026, located in Middletown, PA.

What you will do:

  • Able to work in a fast pace atmosphere in reviewing documentation and prints in resolving problems.
  • Able to work within a Team atmosphere in developing corrective plans for issues found within the construction design that needs corrected in the field.
  • Able to understand mechanical design prints for a cross country high pressure pipeline system with some knowledge of associated equipment such automated valves, welding and metallurgy.
  • Able to take on small design changes that will be reviewed and approved by Senior Engineer prior to making changes in the field.
  • Able to travel to the field locations and assist as needed in providing corrective data to field personnel.
  • Able to take criticism by others on information you may have provided.
  • Must have a desire to want to learn and try their best to do what is right for the Company they’re working for

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions: 

  • Office and Field based role, located in Middletown, PA.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
