In the role of Legal Operations Analytics & eBilling - Intern, you will support initiatives that drive effective decision making and optimization in both the financial and performance space, through a broad understanding of Legal Services matter management and billing processes. This position will require some independence in work but will be closely mentored by the Legal Operations eBilling & Analytics Supervisor and other members of the team. This role has technical expertise in data analytics and enables the consumption of data and reporting by Legal Services teams, at all levels. This role ensures the department has the critical tools and accurate data to continue providing professional services to the company.
Placement Details:
This is a 4-month placement starting on January 2026, located in Calgary, Alberta.
What you will do:
- Transform and analyze data to optimize legal spend and improve reporting accuracy.
- Update rates in the billing system (TeamConnect) and refresh PowerBI dashboards with finalized data.
- Develop in-house reports and use tools like Excel, PowerQuery, or SQL to extract, transform, and manipulate data.
- Support business operations through validation of firm rate/pricing information and spend analysis.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of reporting and analytics processes.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled as a full-time student in your third or fourth year of Business or Information Technology or Data Science at a Canadian school and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
- Experience working with Excel, PowerQuery and PowerBI required.
- Knowledge of SQL and/or Azure Databricks considered an asset.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, High Performance, Inclusion).
Working Conditions:
- Office based role, located in Calgary, Alberta, and may include a hybrid combination of in-person and work from home (schedule to be determined).
