In the role of Engineering Summer Student, you learn about and work within natural gas transmission operations, providing technical support to Staff Supervisors, Engineers and Technical Advisors. It’s an excellent job for people who want in-depth knowledge and field experience within energy and natural gas.
Placement Details:
This is a 2-month placement starting in June of 2023, located in Houston, TX.
What you will do:
- Learn about the technical intricacies of natural gas transmission operations.
- Work with Staff Supervisors, Engineers, and Technical Advisors to achieve the goals of the team.
- Provide engineering and project support to a variety of technical disciplines.
- Collect and assess data for various technical projects and initiatives.
- Perform field visits to support local projects.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
- Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion).
Working Conditions:
- Office based role, located in Houston, TX.
