In the role of Storage Operations Engineer, you will monitor natural gas storage performance, analyze field capacities, and support injection/withdrawal decisions. It’s an excellent job for people who enjoy data analysis, operations, and energy markets.

Placement Details:

This is an 3 month placement starting in June 2026, located in Houston, TX.

What you will do:

  • Monitor the daily performance of natural gas storage assets.
  • Evaluate physical capabilities including injection, withdrawal, and wheeling activities.
  • Recommend and prioritize storage fields for injection and withdrawal in coordination with Enbridge Gas Control.
  • Prepare, update, and publish customer communications related to storage facility outages.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Storage Optimization procedures and documentation.
  • Support operational and optimization decisions through data analysis and collaboration with internal teams.

Who you are: 

  • You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions: 

  • Office based role, located in Houston, TX.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
