In the role of Summer Student, you will work collaboratively with the Commercial Business Applications team to ensure outage management and commercial tools are relevant, accurate, and a reliable resource of information to manage and optimize the business. This is a great job for someone interested in IT and software development who wants experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
Placement Details:
This is a summer student placement starting May 4, 2026, and ending August 19, 2026, located in Calgary, Alberta.
What you will do:
- Work with the team to define, develop, test, and utilize appropriate tools to support outage management processes and maintain a comprehensive portfolio of outage work for GTM.
- Participate in interviews and focus groups to understand the business needs for commercial business applications. Support by taking minutes and documenting findings.
- Develop templates for conducting reviews of existing commercial applications such as RTBA and LINK, to ensure technical documentation is completed prior to technology improvement projects, including business processes and data mapping.
- Facilitate reviews of the GTM outage portfolio, improve documentation and historical analysis and manage outage work still pending entry into the Athena outage planning application.
- Assist with clean-up, configuration and maintenance of the SharePoint site and Teams channel – ensure all key documents are current and filed for quick and easy reference purposes.
Who you are:
- You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Business or Computer Science and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
- Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to organize complex information and write concise documents and correspondence to various audiences.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Flexibility to adapt to frequent shifts in priorities and schedules.
- Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
Working Conditions:
- Office based role, located in Calgary
- Relocation assistance is not provided.
