Grounds Maintenance - Summer Student

As a Grounds Maintenance - Summer Student, you will assist with building and grounds maintenance, right-of-way maintenance, housekeeping duties of all buildings, painting of facility equipment, minor equipment and vehicle maintenance. It’s an excellent job for people who are looking to gain exposure to the oil and gas industry

What you will do:

The position will include a mix of shop, field and office work; including the following:

• Grass cutting.
• Paint piping, and building and Right-Of-Way (ROW)  maintenance.
• Shop and yard clean-up.
• Window cleaning.
• Vehicle cleaning.
• Assist Field Operations and Utility Pipeline Maintenance staff with pipeline maintenance tasks.
• Assist other departments as required.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings and Emergency Response exercises.
• Assist with clerical tasks when and if required. i.e. filing, data entry, reception, copying, scanning, etc.

Who you are:

• You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying Engineering Technologies or Operations, or similar and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
• Valid Full G Class Driver's License and responsible driving record, although you will not be allowed to drive a fleet vehicle; you will be required to drive a lawn mower. 
• Positive demeanour and self-starter.
• Willing and able to perform physical labour.
• Able to work outdoors in any weather wearing Fire Retardant clothing.
• Ability to work alone or in a group.
• Proficiency with MS Office; especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint is an asset.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially when handling critical documents and company information. 
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions:

• Field-based role, located in Mooretown, ON
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
