In this LP Strategy Summer Student role, you support the development and assist in coordinating LP’s short and long-term business strategy through research, development of strategic thought, financial and competitive analysis, and capturing input from resources within LP and Enbridge.

Placement Details:

This is a 4-month summer intern position starting in May 2024, located in Calgary, AB.

What you will do:

  • Market Research and Analysis: conduct research and analysis on market trends, competitor and customer activities, regulatory news, and other pertinent developments for the development of LP’s strategic planning materials.
  • Financial Modeling: assist in the development of long-term financial asset models to evaluate different long-term strategic and optimization alternatives.
  • Strategic Planning Support: collaborate with the LP Strategy team in the development of strategic planning materials for Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Data Analytics: collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and insights relevant for the development of LP Strategy deliverables.
  • Project Management: Support the execution of strategic initiatives by assisting in project planning, coordination, and tracking of key milestones.

Who you are: 

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Proactive attitude with a passion for learning and a strong desire to contribute to meaningful projects.
  • Previous experience or coursework in energy is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interest in liquids market fundamentals.
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Working Conditions: 

  • Office based role, located in Calgary, AB
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
