In the role of Sales Analyst, Industrial Market Development – Summer Intern, you will provide support to experienced professionals on the Sales team, Contract Support and Economic Development conducting research, analysis and presentation preparation for the pursuit of strategic growth opportunities. It’s an excellent job for a business or engineering student with an interest in the energy sector, or someone who enjoys research and analysis and possesses strong knowledge translation and presentation skills.

Placement Details:

This is a 4-month summer position starting in May 2024, located in Chatham, ON.

What you will do:

  • Prepare research and gather market intelligence on sectors supporting growth opportunities for Sales Team.
  • Assess existing customer contract rate options and general service customer opportunities to expand our contract markets.
  • Contribute to development of Contract Support policies and initiatives.
  • Assist with developing Expression of Interest (EOI) or Reverse Open Season (ROS) packages to solicit input on customers on growth plans and timing.
  • Provide support to the Economic Development on reporting against timelines and progress of active EOI or ROS processes.
  • Follow-up and analysis including high-level costing for each site under consideration.
  • Working directly with internal cross-functional teams; Distribution Optimization Engineering, Transmission System Planning, Stations Engineering, Capital Development, In Franchise Business Development, Integrated Resource Planning, Contracting, Credit.
  • Provide support to prepare and update documents including presentation materials, issue briefs, memos and meeting minutes.
  • Any other duties or tasks as required.

Who you are:

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time post-secondary program studying Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related program and will be returning to full-time school immediately following the work term.
  • Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite, including advanced level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).
  • Knowledge of energy units and conversions would be helpful but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based role, located in Chatham, ON.
  • Relocation assistance is not provided.
