About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Power BI Developer to join our dynamic data and analytics team. This role is crucial in transforming complex, multi-source datasets into meaningful, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in DAX, data modeling, and data transformation, and will be adept at working directly with stakeholders to design and iterate on dashboards that reflect evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dashboard Development & Data Visualization:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide clear, actionable insights.
- Translate business requirements into intuitive visualizations that support performance tracking and decision-making.
- Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability across devices and user groups.
- Data Modeling, Cleansing & Transformation:
- Build and maintain robust data models using Power BI and Power Query.
- Apply advanced DAX techniques to create calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
- Perform data cleansing and transformation across multiple complex datasets, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability.
- Implement best practices for data governance, including documentation, naming conventions, and version control.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand pain points, and incorporate feedback into dashboard design.
- Facilitate workshops and review sessions to ensure dashboards meet user expectations and business objectives.
- Iterate on solutions based on stakeholder input and evolving business needs.
- KPI & Metric Development:
- Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics aligned with strategic goals.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure KPIs are measurable, relevant, and consistently tracked.
- Tool Integration & Automation:
- Integrate data from Databricks, SQL databases, SharePoint, and other enterprise platforms.
- Use Power Automate to streamline data refreshes, notifications, and reporting workflows.
- Ensure seamless connectivity and automation across reporting tools and data sources.
Technical Expertise:
- Databricks & SQL:
- Strong working knowledge of Databricks, including data ingestion, transformation, and integration with Power BI.
- Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and troubleshoot data issues.
- Experience working with relational databases and data lakes in enterprise environments.
- Python:
- Experience with Python for data manipulation, automation, or integration tasks.
- Ability to use Python scripts for preprocessing data or enhancing analytical capabilities within the BI ecosystem.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Power BI development, including DAX and Power Query.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with Databricks.
- Hands-on experience with Power Automate and SharePoint integration.
- Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and perform advanced data transformations.
- Demonstrated success in KPI and metric development for performance tracking.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, SAP, Oracle EBS.
