** The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable. 

Description:

The IT Project Cutover Lead is a pivotal role responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the cutover activities necessary to transition from legacy systems to new IT systems or platforms. This position ensures minimal disruption to business operations during the go-live and post-go-live phases. The Cutover Lead collaborates closely with project managers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to ensure a smooth and successful transition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cutover plan, detailing timelines, dependencies, resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cutover rehearsals, mock runs, and dry runs to validate readiness and ensure a seamless transition.
  • Lead cutover execution during go-live, ensuring all tasks are completed on time and issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, including infrastructure, application, and data migration, to align cutover activities with deployment plans.
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure operational readiness, including training, communication, and support plans.
  • Facilitate cutover readiness reviews, go/no-go meetings, and post-cutover reviews to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of cutover activities, decisions, and lessons learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and manage risks and issues related to cutover, ensuring contingency plans are in place to address potential challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with change management and IT governance processes to maintain organizational standards and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT project management or cutover management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with large-scale IT system implementations and transitions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
