About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will conduct quality assessments on supplier quality management systems to ensure compliance with Enbridge's quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating and enhancing supplier quality, ensuring that our partners meet the high standards we uphold.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Enbridge's supplier quality evaluation by ensuring selected suppliers have the appropriate quality management systems, infrastructure, training, and procedures in place.
  • Engage with suppliers to gather requirements and conduct quality management assessments efficiently.
  • Compile and document supplier quality assessments, providing gap reports to internal stakeholders when necessary.
  • Meet tight deadlines to approve selected suppliers and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Develop audit plans with clear objectives and coordinate between the technical audit team and auditees.
  • Manage the planning and execution of opening and closing meetings for audits.
  • Coordinate final review sessions with the technical audit team and compile their reports into a comprehensive final audit summary report.

Working Relationships:

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) personnel across Enbridge.
  • Interface with business units, technical subject matter experts (SMEs), and external suppliers.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Oracle.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of ASME/CSA/API/ISO codes, standards, and construction specifications.
  • Strong communication, problem resolution, assessment, and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pipeline and facility construction.
  • Trade-related experience in welding, pipefitting, pressure vessels, structural steel, pipe spool fabrication, and associated site installation activities.
  • ASET-Certified Engineering Technologist or Certified Journeyman.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is primarily office-based with the possibility of domestic or international travel up to or exceeding 25% - 50% of the time.
