About the Role:
As an IT Business Analyst within our IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) group, you will play a pivotal role in aligning IT solutions with business needs. You will act as a technical liaison, supporting strategic technology planning, citizen development, and risk management. Your expertise will empower business users to leverage modern tools and platforms effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Awareness & Advisory:
- Stay informed on emerging industry technologies and trends.
- Provide recommendations on technology adoption and innovation opportunities.
- Power Platform Enablement:
- Develop and support solutions using PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Copilot.
- Promote best practices and governance for Power Platform usage.
- Citizen Development Support:
- Mentor and guide business users in building low-code/no-code applications.
- Conduct workshops and provide documentation to empower citizen developers.
- Risk Assessment & Disaster Recovery:
- Facilitate risk assessments with business units for new and existing applications.
- Support disaster recovery planning and ensure alignment with IT continuity protocols.
- Database & Technical Planning:
- Apply foundational database knowledge to support solution design and evaluation.
- Assist in technical estimates and planning for business initiatives.
- IT Coordination & Ticket Resolution:
- Coordinate with internal IT groups to resolve technical issues and service requests.
- Track and follow up on IT tickets to ensure timely resolution.
- Business Engagement:
- Work directly with business users to understand needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Customer Engagement Specialists to support business initiatives and technology roadmaps.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform: PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate, and Copilot.
- Strong understanding of database concepts and data modeling.
- Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing systems.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and contribute to disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT advisory, application development, or business analysis.
- Experience in a BRM or cross-functional IT/business role.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and digital transformation practices.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid work environment with on-site collaboration in Houston, TX.
- Occasional travel may be required for business unit engagement or training.
- Fast-paced, collaborative setting with cross-functional teams.
- May require after-hours support during critical incidents or disaster recovery testing.
