Job Overview:
Join our team as a Community Engagement and Natural Gas Sales Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in expanding our natural gas services within community expansion areas. Your primary responsibilities will include advocating for the use of natural gas, conveying compelling business cases, and managing the attachment process. You will also be responsible for investigating service application statuses and addressing general inquiries. This role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with potential customers through door-to-door canvassing, cold calling, and participation in storefront locations/events, both in-person and virtually.
- Develop, review, and maintain community spreadsheets to track customer interactions and application statuses.
- Manage the CE email mailbox, responding to customer inquiries with accurate and engaging information to facilitate natural gas connections.
- Update community spreadsheets and ArcGIS with customer data and interactions.
- Maintain tracking sheets for customer contacts and responses, updating them weekly.
- Assist customers in understanding attachment steps and articulate the benefits of natural gas to secure connections.
- Investigate and follow up on customer concerns, ensuring timely resolution and attachment success.
- Complete SAP tables for new communities and confirm accuracy of polygons/titles in CCWS.
- Prepare and distribute customer contact lists for direct mailing and door-to-door outreach.
- Review and support applications that are not progressing, providing assistance as needed.
- Investigate PowerBI discrepancies and support GetConnected applications, offering training to HVAC teams.
- Revise or create messaging based on business and customer needs.
- Organize kiosk locations and update dashboards for strategic analysis.
- Document tasks and processes for team collaboration and efficiency.
- Track and document customer complaints and resolutions for O.E.B. interrogatories.
- Assess new construction developments and contribute data for regular attachment reports.
- Support marketing and engagement efforts, representing Enbridge at external events and preparing presentations.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of successful experience in B2C and/or B2B sales in a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel for data management and analysis.
- Strong relationship-building and sales skills, with a strategic mindset and business analysis capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain organization.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, presentation, listening, and attention to detail.
- Commitment to fostering an environment of safety, integrity, respect, and inclusion.
- Results-oriented with the ability to balance competing priorities.
- Self-driven and motivated with minimal supervision.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Maximo, e-GIS, GetConnected, and CCWS.
- Familiarity with natural gas applications in residential and business settings.
- Ability to articulate the value proposition of natural gas and related appliances.
- Problem-solving skills and understanding of the energy market.
- Knowledge of utility systems, natural gas operations, and processes.
Working Conditions:
- This position operates in both field and office environments.
- Frequent travel, including evenings and weekends, mainly within Ontario, is required.
- A valid Ontario G class driver's license and a responsible driving record are necessary.
