Job Overview:
- As a key member of the Large Volume Contracting, Support & Compliance team, the Contracting Analyst is responsible for preparing and managing contracts for the Distribution and Direct Purchase markets.
- This role offers a strong foundation in contract management while providing cross-functional exposure to areas such as Industrial Market Development, Legal, Gas Management, Billing, Accounts Payable, and Regulatory Affairs.
- You will collaborate within a dynamic, innovative, and results-driven team focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Inquiries:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by meeting or exceeding corporate customer satisfaction targets.
- Respond promptly to inquiries related to:
- Distribution and Direct Purchase agreements
- Policies and procedures
- Billing and gas management
- Investigate and resolve customer issues using systems such as Enerline, ConTrax, SAP, and other tools.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate departments or management.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
Contract Management:
- Analyze contract data and prepare accurate and compliant contract packages.
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including:
- Approval tracking
- Distribution
- Customer receipt and execution
- Maintain organized and secure systems for document storage, retrieval, and record-keeping.
- Document and communicate issues clearly with all stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve system-related challenges within the department.
Process Improvement & System Support
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in processes.
- Participate in planning and executing process enhancements.
- Test system updates and support implementation in alignment with change management practices.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and analyze WEBi reports to support contract management activities and decision-making.
- Provide insights and data-driven support for operational inquiries and performance tracking.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with:
- Databases
- Query tools
- Business systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high accuracy under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply knowledge of regulated distribution and direct purchase environments.
- Excellent:
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and deliver results.
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of:
- Contract administration
- Customer billing systems
- Financial systems
- Experience with tools such as:
- ConTrax, Enerline, SAP CIS, WEBi, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word
- Understanding of:
- Large Volume Contract structures and rate models
- Proven customer-facing experience.
- Experience within the natural gas or utilities sector.
Working Condition:
- Occasional overtime may be required during monthly and annual contracting cycles.
- Vacation scheduling is aligned with the monthly contracting cycle.
