Job Overview: 

Our client is seeking an Accounting Analyst responsible for recording, monitoring, and reconciling transactions impacting the general ledger accounts, with a strong emphasis on cash accounts. The role involves maintaining various processes and schedules for the General Accounting team and ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare month-end closing entries.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of recorded transactions.
  • Follow up with relevant Finance teams or transaction initiators to identify and resolve reconciling items.
  • Ensure controls and processes are properly maintained and achieve SOX compliance.
  • Support ongoing ad hoc requests.
  • Work with various individuals within the Finance Department to obtain necessary information.
  • Collaborate with various other departments as necessary, such as Customer Care and Treasury.

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Business or Accounting preferred, or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Good time and project management skills.
  • Ability to work successfully independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Must be available for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end requirements.
  • Occasional overtime required.
