About the Role:

The Materials Coordinator II plays a crucial role in supply chain management by forecasting requirements for raw materials and other resources to meet operational needs. This position ensures that requisitions for bulk materials are accurately entered into Oracle Cloud by collaborating daily with Engineers and Subject Matter Experts. The role involves data analysis, cost-benefit analyses, coordination of requisition processes, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with materials, production, and engineering teams, both domestically and internationally, to meet customer needs timely and cost-effectively.
  • Work closely with engineering and supply chain professionals in Canada and the US to procure materials that meet project needs, ensuring timely delivery per project schedules.
  • Identify and target areas for cost reduction.
  • Manage inventory accuracy with a focus on process improvements.
  • Analyze root causes of inventory issues and develop programs and procedures to eliminate them.
  • Assist in developing a formal supplier evaluation procedure, including essential metrics for on-time delivery, accuracy of fulfillment, quality of materials, and pricing comparisons.
  • Manage distribution capabilities, quality processes, and corrective action procedures.
  • Develop reporting and tracking systems with mechanisms for monthly consolidations of material values returned and credits issued.
  • Ensure requisitions are accurate and complete with all required supporting information attached (e.g., vendor document requirements, datasheets, specifications, inspection test plans).
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the requisition process and develop procedures to eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Stay current and seek opportunities to improve repair and return management practices by benchmarking top-level companies.
  • Perform high-volume data entry and basic management of electronic files (e.g., print, copy, transfer, delete).
  • Proficient in Word and Excel.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or engineering.
  • 4-7 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
  • Experience with material descriptions and purchase orders.
  • Experience with international shipping and dealing with international invoice requirements.
  • Proficient in Excel (for data gathering and creating basic spreadsheets), Word, PowerPoint (for presentations), and Access (for report generation).
  • Experience with Oracle and/or SAP for transactional processes, lookups, and report generation is a plus.
  • Oracle experience is an asset.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with strong communication skills, and have patience working with others.

Please note: Successful applicants will be employees of Raise, working at Enbridge facilities with both Enbridge and contract employees.
