** The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Contract Conformance Specialist III to oversee the day-to-day conformance responsibilities for all contractual arrangements of assigned capital and maintenance projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all contractual obligations are met efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire administration stages of contracts on assigned projects.
- Oversee the flow of documentation and communication related to the contractual relationship between the client and contractors.
- Facilitate the timely identification, communication, and resolution of contractual matters.
- Interact frequently with third parties and in-house departments, including legal, project management, construction management, and more.
- Report directly to the SCM Major Project Lead and maintain an indirect reporting relationship with the Business Owner.
- Assigned major projects with a consolidated total of up to $500MM per year.
- Projects typically last up to 2 years in duration.
Desired Skills:
- Clear, concise, and organized communication skills.

- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships across departments.
- Familiarity with best management practices for contracting.
- Experience with sourcing and administration of large ($100M+) Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Agreements is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Oracle, ProjectWise, and SharePoint.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with Project Execution contracting strategy.
- Facilitate preparation of contract exhibits, including scope, specifications, pricing, and special instructions.
- Assist in writing technical contract language for each assigned project.
- Coordinate with the SCM Team Lead to incorporate project-specific requirements in final contract documents.
- Lead contract negotiations during the bidding and formation phases.
- Coordinate project team communication plans and provide training on contract conformance.
- Review contractor documents for compliance and manage change order processes.
- Maintain contractor correspondence and documentation logs.
- Prepare and transmit company-generated correspondence and manage contract close-out processes.
- Provide assistance during compliance audits and ongoing communication regarding project contractual requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, legal, technical, or business discipline with relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience in related fields.
- Specific knowledge and experience in contracting processes related to energy industry construction projects.
- Fundamental understanding of contract documents and their utilization.
Work Conditions:
- Primary location will be the client's office or project field office.
- Position requires travel approximately 10-25% of the time within the assigned project.
