Responsibilities:
This position will play a critical role in data implementation as part of Enbridge's Unify Release 5 for the Gas Distribution & Storage business unit. This person will provide subject matter expertise around data profiling, scoping, quality review, conversion approach, validations, and associated issue resolution for their assigned workstream.
Enbridge's Unify Data Team is looking for multiple people with deep expertise in using IBM Maximo for Asset & Work Management. Additionally, this role will support the Internal Controls team to document control points in business processes.
This is a temporary contract position with Enbridge's Unify program. The position is a great way to expand your skills in an exciting, fast-paced transformation program that adds value to the company. The successful candidate will start at the end of August 2023 with an expected end date of approximately Feb 2025.
- Support planning and communication of the data work during each Unify phase
- Support onboarding of the System Integrator during the Mobilization phase
- May be required to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience
- Accountable to ensure execution of data readiness scope and deliverables to meet program timelines
- Leverage data expertise to provide support and input to Unify Functional teams, Business SMEs and the System Integrator for data profiling, extraction, cleansing, conversion, and validation
- Accountable for integration and coordination of team members working on data activities
- Work with the Functional team to define the Mock conversion dataset strategy and sequence
- Identify data readiness issues and challenges, provide recommendations to remediate, plan and execute resolution and escalate as required
- Participate in Level 5 process reviews with functional teams to identify any data impacts
- Review Integration Functional Designs and Report Functional Designs to identify any data impacts
- Participate in Conversion Functional Design reviews to ensure the process, data mapping, and data rules are accurately captured
- Support the resolution of issues within and across teams with respect to requirements and processes
- Support the execution of data conversion processes across entire data lifecycle to meet program timelines and key dates, including multiple mock conversion cycles and final production cutover
- Identify data readiness opportunities for optimization and execution to maximize efficiencies, making recommendations
- Support inputs into project status to leadership and stakeholders
- Track and report on data readiness metrics
- May be required to provide guidance to junior employees
- The role will provide direct support to the data quality and conversion teams under the Asset & Work Management workstream. The role interfaces with the Unify Data leadership team to escalate issues and ensure project aligns with Unify objectives. The role serves as the main point of contact for the workstream teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Related university degree in Business or Technology
- 4 or more years of related experience with data transformation on large enterprise programs
- Industry experience with IBM Maximo, including in-depth knowledge of application functionality and underlying data model in a data conversion/integration context
- Experience with data standards and data quality reporting
- Able to identify risks and issues and recommend actions to remedy and escalate when necessary
- Proven interpersonal, communication and influence skills applied with technical and functional personnel
- Willing to get into the details to help progress the work and report status
- Able to understand the enterprise wide and Business Unit specific requirements
- Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP, EBS, or Oracle Cloud
- Industry experience in energy storage and distribution
- Experience with large scale, complex project go-lives (i.e. cutovers)
- Experience with data transformation on large enterprise programs
- Experience with Internal Controls and mapping to business processes
- Experience with data sustainment and enterprise data governance
