Job Overview:

  • Enbridge Gas Inc is further developing an Industry-leading Integrity Management Program which ensures our natural gas system assets are safe and reliable. This position is part of the Risk Assessments – Facilities and Storage Team. The Facilities Risk Team is responsible for evaluating sites that interconnect multiple assets supplying natural gas to customers. These facilities perform essential functions such as pressure regulation, gas measurement, and conditioning.
  • Using Reliability Engineering principles, statistical and mathematical techniques, and risk management methodologies, the team identifies, evaluates, and quantifies risks associated with facility assets. Each asset within these sites must be thoroughly assessed to ensure it is safe, reliable, and fit for continued service.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will focus on quantitative risk analysis, specifically related to:

  • Estimating probability of failure and consequences of failure for critical facility assets
  • Supporting integrity and investment decision-making through data-driven insights
  • Collecting, reviewing, and validating asset and failure-related data
  • Performing data quality assessments, trend analysis, and pattern recognition
  • Developing, selecting, and applying analytical and statistical models
  • Verifying and validating model results
  • Interpreting findings and clearly communicating risk implications to stakeholders

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Experience in data analytics, including data quality assessment and validation
  • Programming experience in Python, Reliasoft, and/or MATLAB
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with machine learning (ML) and/or artificial intelligence (AI) modeling
  • Background in reliability or statistical modeling
  • Experience working with asset management systems such as Maximo and/or SAP
