About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Project Accounting Advisor to ensure the financial success of our projects across various industries, including Oil & Gas, IT, Petrochemical, Industrial, and Power.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure accurate tracking and timely reporting of all project expenses. This includes collecting and verifying financial records, preparing cost estimates, reviewing timesheets, and assisting in the preparation of expenditure reports.
- Educate and guide team members on effective cost planning, tracking, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct monthly reviews of cost and cash flow forecasts with the Project Manager and team to maintain financial transparency.
- Create, update, and close out budgets and project structures in company systems such as Oracle, Copperleaf, and EPPRT as projects progress.
- Facilitate the procurement process by entering purchase requests, confirming deliveries, coding invoices, resolving issues, and collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
- Make necessary adjustments to project forecasts and budgets. Assist in preparing the annual budget and reporting on departmental expenditures.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years in cost management and project controls functions across multiple project assignments. Experience in the Oil & Gas, IT, Petrochemical, Industrial, or Power industries is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Project Controls principles and their practical application.
- Proficiency in Excel and other basic computer programs for data organization and analysis.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when required.
- Experience with ERP systems for project information management.
- Capability to manage a busy workload, provide sound recommendations, and ensure smooth project operations.
- Ability to work effectively with team members across different locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Certification as a Certified Cost Engineer (AACE's CCC/CCE) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
