About the Role:

As the Materials Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting materials storage, inventory, shipping, and receiving at our material storage warehouse. This facility is integral to Enbridge's construction projects and the maintenance of our liquids pipeline facilities. You will be responsible for coordinating material movements, inspecting incoming shipments, directing warehouse contractors, and collaborating with Enbridge's Supply Chain, Projects, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain administrative control over all material movements in and out of the warehouse.
  • Coordinate the flow of materials within the warehouse and laydown areas.
  • Manage material receipts and stage materials for use by Projects and Operations teams.
  • Verify the accuracy of materials ordered on purchase orders and coordinate with SCM and Project teams to address discrepancies.
  • Keep up-to-date records and documentation for material receipts and storage.
  • Consult with Project Management to determine the disposition of surplus construction materials.
  • Conduct material inspections and submit weekly status reports.
  • Maintain communication with Supply Chain, Project, and Construction personnel, as well as outside vendors, regarding procurement and receipt of materials.

Scope and Dimensions:

  • Engage in daily activities including safety awareness, warehouse management, material inspections, and review of material documentation.
  • Coordinate with logistics service providers for material shipments.
  • Provide direction to contractor warehouse resources for material movements and crane lifts.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and communication with internal and external customers.
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a neat, presentable condition, ensuring compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Seven or more years of experience in Construction, Quality, and/or Supply Chain roles within the pipeline industry.
  • Experience with Supply Chain procurement systems and processes.
  • Material inspection experience with the ability to understand technical specifications and drawings.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic smartphone operations.
  • High level of internal and external customer service.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid forklift ticket or ability to obtain.
  • Moderate physical requirements.

Preferred:

  • Experience using Oracle and/or Maximo systems for materials receiving and order fulfillment.
  • Experience in a leadership position managing a small team.
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry.

Working Conditions:

  • Offices located within a Pipeline Operations Terminal with a standard operating warehouse and yard.
  • Normal conditions include the use of material handling equipment and personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, coveralls, safety goggles, and face shields where applicable.
  • Due to potential exposure to hazardous environments associated with natural gas, FR clothing and personal gas monitors may be required while making deliveries or pickups in these locations.
