Job Overview:

  • This role is responsible for leading the delivery of data and analytics insights to support effective business decision-making across Energy Conservation, Market Development & Business Development, Sales, P&GA, and other internal stakeholders.
  • The position plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s analytics capability by identifying and integrating data sources, establishing data quality and governance standards, mentoring junior analysts, and partnering with Technology teams to enable scalable analytics solutions. The role also leads special analytical initiatives and evaluates emerging tools and technologies to continuously enhance analytical effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to the Analytics team, promoting best practices in data sourcing, analytical methods, tools, and BI implementation
  • Act as a subject matter expert in customer and business analytics, educating extended teams on insights, platforms, tools, datasets, and emerging technologies
  • Lead brainstorming sessions and workshops to identify opportunities for applying data and analytics to solve business challenges
  • Lead and manage multiple analytics initiatives, including special BI projects and ad-hoc analytical assignments
  • Partner with the Technology team to identify, implement, and maintain systems for collecting, validating, storing, and analyzing customer and business data
  • Define and enforce data quality standards, working closely with Technology and data-originating teams to ensure compliance
  • Implement efficient analytics processes, governance, and standards across BI and the broader organization
  • Consult on data validation, consolidation, and cleansing processes to ensure analytical integrity
  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights and compelling data stories for stakeholders, including clear recommendations and actions
  • Explore and analyze data using visualization tools and statistical techniques to improve products, services, and customer experience
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen and technical understanding to resolve problems, manage projects, and identify new analytics opportunities
  • Maintain awareness of interdependencies across business units and stakeholder groups
  • Develop deep business and system knowledge across supported areas
  • Document data assets, structures, definitions, and analytical learnings to build a robust, reusable knowledge base for future initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Under Graduate or advanced degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology
  • 8+ years of experience in one of the following:
  • Business Intelligence, Data analytics, Business Analytics
  • Marketing, Market research, Customer care
  • Extensive SQL knowledge, adept at queries and joining data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and proficiency with Power BI, MS Visio, GIS
  • Strong communication skills in presenting analytical solutions and data findings in understandable forms and ability to communicate complex ideas and technical results in business terms.
  • Good writing skills to develop and maintain functional documentation
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information at levels relevant for the business need
  • Proven abilities in building collaborative relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders
  • Facilitation skills to run workshops when necessary and influence participants in the adoption of analytics in everyday business operations
  • Strong agility and comfort around uncertainty and effective in delivering iterative solutions
  • Strong project management skills
