Description:
The Project Controls Coordinator II (PCC) is responsible for developing and implementing project controls planning, integrating cost and schedule functions, and ensuring the quality of all project controls deliverables for Engineering and Construction capital projects. This role typically supports projects up to $25MM/year in value, with durations of one year or less and ranging from routine to mid‑level complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the development of the overall Project Execution Plan.
- Define project controls resource requirements and ensure effective integration across cost, schedule, and reporting functions.
- Participate in the creation, maintenance, and quality control of essential project controls documentation, including:
- Cost Reports and Cost Variance Analysis
- Cash Flow Reports and Variance Analysis
- Schedule Reports and Schedule Variance Analysis
- Project Change Management Procedures
- Project Controls Plan
- Monthly Progress Reports, integrating both cost control and scheduling into a unified project controls strategy
- Perform quality control reviews of all project controls deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project standards.
- Lead the coordination and compilation of documentation required for Phase Gate Review Meetings in accordance with the 6‑Phase Project Lifecycle.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to project controls and project systems teams based on lessons learned during implementation of new tools, processes, or procedures.
- Support ongoing refinement of project controls best practices and organizational standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum: 4–5 years of directly related experience (candidates with 3–10 years of experience will be considered).
Desired Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure.
- Specific knowledge and experience with scheduling and cost processes related to pipeline and plant facility projects.
- Familiarity with best practices for project scheduling and cost control.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and implement project scheduling and cost control processes and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under moderate supervision.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong capability in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server.
