About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer IV to oversee the design of compressor station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects. This role involves working with third-party engineering firms to ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and industry standards, while managing project budgets and schedules. You will liaise with various Enbridge functional groups within Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services to ensure project and company requirements are met and incorporated into design deliverables.

Primary Focus:

  • Oversee the design of compressor station facilities for expansion and maintenance projects.
  • Ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Collaborate with Enbridge functional groups to meet project requirements.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all compressor station facilities are designed in accordance with regulations, industry codes, and corporate standards.
  • Manage the execution of design deliverables by third-party engineering firms.
  • Design electrical components and interconnects.
  • Review and approve design deliverables, including drawings, technical reports, and material listing sheets.
  • Participate in design review meetings with engineering firms, Project Managers, Operations, and Construction personnel.
  • Review vendor material quotations, prepare technical evaluations, and recommend selections based on technical merit, price, and delivery.
  • Actively identify and communicate new lessons learned and quality incidents for assigned projects.
  • Support department initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience.

Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks.
  • Problem-solving skills using standards, modification of standards, and previous experience.
  • Effective communication of technical issues and impacts to both technical and non-technical staff.

Working Conditions:

  • 80% office-based work with multiple project teams.
  • 20% fieldwork for project scoping or supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Strong computer skills, typically using Microsoft Office applications.
