Description:
The Engineering Analyst is responsible for conducting comprehensive quantitative risk analyses of the company's transmission and distribution pipeline systems. This role involves supporting the implementation of integrity software, performing root cause analyses, and utilizing data analytics to inform risk management decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive quantitative risk analysis of Enbridge Gas transmission and distribution pipeline systems. Ensure alignment with Enbridge's risk governance framework.
- Assist in the implementation of integrity software, data collection, and the development of risk and integrity models.
- Perform root cause analysis, risk refinement, and what-if assessments to evaluate the impact of potential remedial actions.
- Utilize engineering statistics, simulations, and data analytics to support effective integrity and risk management decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in conducting quantitative risk assessments (QRAs), including Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Event Tree Analysis (ETA), and consequence analysis is highly desirable.
- Experience in pipeline engineering, station engineering, integrity management, and risk assessment is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in building analytical models, statistical modeling, applied data science, machine learning, and model evaluation.
- Strong understanding of computer science concepts and experience with various coding languages (e.g., SQL, VB, Python).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
