About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Controls Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing project costs, ensuring accurate documentation, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support project success. Your expertise in cost control and scheduling within the Oil and Gas industry will be crucial in driving project efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record, track, and maintain submissions related to cost, progress, and changes.
  • Update and maintain earned value reports daily for major scopes of work.
  • Review and record daily Labor, Equipment, and Material tickets (LEMS) for cost and man-hour information.
  • Review daily progress and report variances from estimates.
  • Critically analyze project costs and budget.
  • Interface with contractors to ensure correct rates and estimates for reports.
  • Collaborate with Inspectors to ensure accurate documentation for reports.
  • Review and validate invoices to ensure dates and amounts align with contract terms.
  • Work in Oracle Cloud and with Accounts Payable to ensure invoices are coded properly and sent to the right approver.
  • Compile scheduled and ad hoc reports as required by project personnel.
  • Attend and participate in program and contractor update meetings.
  • Actively participate in the program team; work closely with Project Managers, Project Controls Advisors, and Field Control Advisors.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including Safety, Integrity, Respect, and other applicable trainings.

Qualifications:

  • A University degree or related construction or operational training and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Construction experience related to cost and scheduling controls of multi-discipline projects.
  • Required experience in the Oil and Gas industry, as the logic and sequencing of tasks depend on this background.
  • Highly desirable industrial construction experience, including interfaces with the Engineering, Procurement, Contracting, Execution, and Commissioning phases of the project.
  • General understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency with MS Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Software experience with MS Office Suite and Oracle or SAP.
  • Power BI experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organization, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative, team- and service-oriented work style.
