About the Role:

  • If you enjoy working with diverse datasets, conducting meaningful analysis, and supporting cross-functional teams with insights that improve safety and reduce third‑party damages, this role is for you.
  • As the Reporting Analyst, you will focus on collecting and analyzing large volumes of locate and damage data, assessing the effectiveness of Damage Prevention programs, and guiding strategic decision‑making. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and protection of company assets while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply business intelligence expertise to conduct detailed analysis and provide actionable insights on Damage Prevention data.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze locate and damage datasets to identify key trends and support continuous improvement of Damage Prevention initiatives.
  • Track trends in excavation activities, damage characteristics, and other risk indicators to support operational decision-making.
  • Develop and enhance reports, dashboards, and management tools in collaboration with business stakeholders and Damage Prevention teams across GDS.
  • Use data visualization and performance reporting tools to support monitoring, planning, and forecasting.
  • Communicate findings clearly to internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Negotiate effectively and build strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Interpret internal and external business issues and recommend best practices that improve safety, reduce damages, and strengthen regulatory compliance.
  • Support the strategic direction of Damage Prevention initiatives by providing data‑driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Approach complex challenges with a broad perspective to develop creative and effective solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and change management initiatives focused on operational excellence, safe excavation, and asset protection.

Qualifications:

  • Related university degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR 6+ years of previous field operations experience, OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional computer skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Power BI and other performance reporting/visualization tools.
  • Experience using GIS applications to view and analyze gas networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while working independently or collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated experience driving improvements and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Experience with process improvement, procedural enhancement, and change management.
