Responsibilities:
- This is a key role to help define and solution the operational, and ad-hoc reporting needs for our GDS business unit as part of our Unify Program. This role will also act as a liaison between Systems Integrators, ERP SME resources and internal Enbridge business/TIS members.
- In the domain of ERP & enterprise applications, this role will drive operational excellence by using data and analytics to drive visibility, insights and actions to facilitate decision making in Supply Chain Management, Finance, and Asset & Work Management using data & analytics capabilities from descriptive to predictive including self-service.
- You will be expected to document the ERP reporting needs, understand the data requirements and business logic to solution as well as design, develop, and deliver enterprise Reporting & Analytics applications.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of databases, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical / reporting efficiency and quality & build master data management systems.
- Provides coaching to Data Owners, Data Stewards and Data Custodians in support of reporting delivery.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Understand and document ERP business data and reporting needs.
- Ensure reporting scope is managed in accordance with ERP system releases; ensuring that the reports are in place to support system testing, user acceptance testing, and system go lives; works closely with the Development Project Manager to ensure timely delivery of reports, within budget and within specification.
- Provides technical expertise to Data Owners, Stewards and Custodians in support of reporting delivery.
- Ability to create analyses, dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence Tool (OTBI), Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Defines strategies for report retention, archiving, access and security.
- Participates in cross-functional meetings with various levels of management pertaining to reporting.
- Maintains domain Application-System knowledge and keeps abreast of solution development progress.
- Participate in quality assurance testing ensuring reporting needs are met by the system.
- Assists the business in System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing
- Providing technical assistance to the business in the use of information, data, and reporting tools
- Providing analytical support to operations to help them understand key business drivers.
- Analyze business data requirements to produce relevant ETL and Data architecture deliverables (source analysis, source to target maps, ETL flows)
Qualifications:
- Advanced University degree in a related field, e.g., Computer Engineering, MBA or equivalent
- 3+ yrs. experience as a Functional, Data, Reporting, Business, Systems Analyst, or similar role
- Candidates should also possess experience in data management, reporting tools, and associated technical and functional reporting processes.
- 5+ year of primary focus on developing customer solutions using Oracle's analytics offerings: Oracle Analytics Cloud, Data Visualization, Fusion Analytics for Warehouse, OBIEE, OBIA, Machine Learning and Autonomous Data warehouse (ADW)
- 5+ year of extensive, hands on, end to end implementation/Operate experience using OAC/OBIEE Integration/Reporting tools – Analysis & Dashboards, Oracle Data Integrator
- Good knowledge of OBIA pre-built content and experience with customizing/extending OBIA pre-built content of different modules
- Solid understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Data Warehouse (DW), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Data Modelling concepts and SQL/PLSQL
- Good knowledge of Oracle Cloud ERP is preferable.
- Experience working with ERP software reporting including requirements and testing experience.
- Knowledge of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI), Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Essbase, Power BI and Maximo’s Business Intelligence and Reporting (BIRT) tool
- Experience with complex, large scale operational and ad-hoc reporting in a corporate environment
- Experience working in a global team, liaising with individuals across several time zones
