About the Role:

Join our team as a Training Coordinator, where you'll play a crucial role in the implementation, administration, and maintenance of our Operations Training Program, including the Operator Qualification (OQ) Program. Your expertise in intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft programs, especially Excel, are required. Collectively, the Field Operations Training Group is dedicated to fostering the development and continual growth of a knowledgeable, skilled, and team-oriented workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operation and maintenance of the applicable learning management system (LMS) which may include duties related to:
  • Administer user access and provide support.
  • Update training catalogs, syllabi, and matrices.
  • Resolve training issues and assist with LMS enhancements.
  • Support the testing of web-based training for LMS functionality.
  • Participate in learning and development meetings.
  • Capture training data from the applicable Learning Management System (LMS) by developing, testing, and pulling reports. Analyze and interpret this data to present it in a meaningful format that supports decision-making and program improvements.
  • Administer the team SharePoint sites, ensuring they are organized, up-to-date, and accessible to all team members for efficient collaboration and information sharing.
  • Support the development and execution of operational training communications, ensuring clear, concise, and effective messaging that enhances understanding and engagement among stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support for the implementation and execution of the Operations Training Program, including necessary Learning Management System (LMS) support to ensure seamless program delivery and participant satisfaction.
  • Administer and support the Operator Qualification (OQ) Program, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while facilitating the continuous development of a skilled and qualified workforce.
  • Develop training communications through effective information collection and dissemination, ensuring clarity and engagement.
  • Handle straightforward assignments with the opportunity to work with increasing independence as exposure to technical problems and solutions grows.

Qualifications:

  • Related university degree or technical diploma with limited experience, or a combination of related certification and a minimum of five years of directly related experience.
  • Exceptional computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft programs.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities to effectively manage tasks and collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment that values continual improvement and champions change.
  • Self-directed in day-to-day functions, demonstrating initiative and independence.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems; knowledge of ISNetworld is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of oil/gas pipeline operations is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with related regulations and industry standards (PHMSA, API, OSHA, DOT) is considered an asset.
  • Experience with developing technical solutions using Microsoft's Power Apps Suite is considered an asset.
