About the Role:
- The Training and Development Advisor is responsible for delivering end-to-end training design, development, trainer enablement, measurement, and where required, training delivery for assigned workstreams, including Finance, Supply Chain, Asset & Work Management, and Business Applications.
- This role plays a critical part in identifying and defining training requirements within assigned and cross-functional workstreams to support end‑user adoption during Utility integration efforts and future ERP transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to USUI’s broader initiative to prepare Gas Distribution and Storage (GDS) for upcoming enterprise tools and functionality.
- Work closely with USUI team members and GDS stakeholders to ensure successful solution implementation while minimizing disruptions and maintaining safe, reliable operations.
- Partner with ERP Training Developers, ERP and Business OCM teams, and Business SMEs to conduct training needs assessments and define learning requirements across stakeholder groups.
- Engage with SMEs, project leads, and change specialists to design, develop, implement, assess, and refine curriculum and learning resources aligned with program goals.
- Design clear learning objectives and develop course storyboards.
- Recommend effective and scalable delivery mechanisms tailored to learner needs.
- Build and revise training materials, including updated content for ERP releases and net‑new training artifacts.
- Create and maintain a Detailed Development Design plan using the ADDIE methodology.
- Manage SME review timelines to ensure adherence to training development schedules.
- Perform quality control checks on training deliverables produced by other Instructional Designers.
- Identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and constraints to the Training Lead while recommending mitigation strategies.
- Deliver train‑the‑trainer sessions to business unit and functional trainers.
- Serve as an on‑call content resource during training delivery.
- Refine training materials based on pilot/initial feedback to close learning gaps.
- Conduct knowledge transfer and transition activities with functional groups and Enbridge’s learning organization to support sustained adoption of new processes and systems.
Scope/Dimensions:
- Operates within a highly complex environment, engaging multiple stakeholders across numerous Enbridge Gas functions and enterprise‑wide initiatives.
- Plays a vital role in enabling Enbridge Gas to achieve enterprise objectives while ensuring safe, reliable, and cost‑effective energy delivery to customers.
- Responsible for managing a significant training development workload and scheduling deliverables to meet aggressive project timelines.
