Job Overview:

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, detailing, expanding, and maintaining project schedules for one or more major projects. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders within project teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage project schedules in alignment with enterprise scheduling standards, ensuring they are up-to-date and detailed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide logistics and scheduling-related technical support to internal client groups for planning, procurement, development, construction, and maintenance activities.
  • Interpret the performance of scheduled activities, analyze impacts on baseline plans, and communicate issues to the Project Manager.
  • Develop and manage indicators to track schedule performance and provide insights for project improvement.
  • Interface with project team members and other key stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate critical-path management.
  • Offer technical advice on scheduling, planning, and logistics, including developing "what-if" scenarios and identifying critical path elements.
  • Prepare and provide reports, schedules, updates, and input related to project scheduling and planning.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional travel to field worksite locations.
  • Overnight business or construction field trips may be required.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary for field visits.

Qualifications:

  • Technical college diploma or university degree in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Engineering and Construction Capital projects, with a preference for pipeline industry experience.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Primavera P6.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to act independently as a senior logistics/scheduling professional.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Aptitude for building successful relationships with project staff and stakeholders.
