Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Sourcing Specialist to serve as a strategic partner to Technology and Business leaders. This role leads complex, high-value IT sourcing initiatives with a strong focus on developing sourcing strategies, executing complex negotiations, and delivering enterprise-wide value.
  • The successful candidate will be accountable for driving measurable cost savings, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring business continuity across IT services and software portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives for IT services and software, including sourcing strategy development, supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Develop and implement IT sourcing and category strategies aligned with technology roadmaps, business priorities, and enterprise cost reduction and efficiency objectives.
  • Lead and execute complex negotiations across a broad range of IT categories, including:
  • Systems Integrators (SI) and large-scale transformation programs
  • Managed Services and outcome-based delivery models
  • Enterprise and mission-critical software agreements
  • Complex Statements of Work (SOWs) featuring layered SLAs, service credits, and performance-based pricing
  • Negotiate pricing models, commercial frameworks, and contractual terms that balance cost, performance, and risk.
  • Partner closely with IT and business stakeholders to support demand planning, forecasting, and sourcing decisions that ensure service continuity and risk mitigation.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, translating business requirements into sourcing and commercial strategies.
  • Apply market intelligence, benchmarking, and cost modeling to inform sourcing strategies and strengthen negotiation outcomes.
  • Drive contract utilization, value realization, and savings delivery through effective governance, performance metrics, and ongoing supplier engagement.
  • Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities, including supplier performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement within IT / Technology environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations for IT services and software, including Systems Integrators, Managed Services, and enterprise-scale agreements.
  • Proven experience developing and executing sourcing and category strategies across IT portfolios.
  • Strong expertise negotiating complex IT Statements of Work (SOWs), pricing models, SLAs, and commercial frameworks.
  • Track record of delivering measurable cost savings, efficiency improvements, and continuity of service through sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong ability to manage and influence senior IT and business stakeholders in complex, matrixed organizations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required:

  • University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible sourcing experience within Technology and Information Services (TIS), including Software, Hardware, and IT Services.
  • Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
  • Proven ability to negotiate large, complex Software, Hardware, and IT Services agreements.
  • Ability to independently manage supplier relationships and performance with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

  • Postgraduate degree or MBA.
  • Professional certifications such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or equivalent.

  • Typical office environment (hybrid or on-site depending on business needs).
  • This role may involve elevated stress levels due to high visibility, tight deadlines, and competing stakeholder interests. Effective prioritization, negotiation, and influence are essential.
