About the Role:
Join our Demand Side Management (DSM) team at Enbridge, where we collaborate with our Commercial customers to enhance their natural gas efficiency. We are seeking a motivated, technically skilled individual to join our Commercial Sales team, serving various sectors.
As an Advisor, Energy Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in delivering Enbridge’s Energy Conservation programs directly to customers and business partners. Your mission is to cultivate positive relationships with specific customers and segments, meeting or exceeding assigned energy conservation targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently identify and deliver technical solutions, performing complex custom engineering and energy efficiency calculations for commercial customers across a designated region.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions to engineers within the energy conservation team.
- Establish and nurture operational and technical relationships with customers at all organizational levels to build long-term trust and commitment towards achieving natural gas usage reduction targets.
- Conduct proactive outreach to assigned accounts, perform site walk-throughs to assist customers in identifying, screening, and evaluating potential energy conservation opportunities through basic building and thermal system audits.
- Ensure timely implementation of projects into DSM tracking systems, ensuring all projects are verifiable and capable of withstanding audit and verification processes. Provide support during customer audit verification as required.
- Establish alliances with business partners (contractors, equipment suppliers, consulting engineers, etc.) to facilitate the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects.
- Attend and present energy efficiency programs at customer meetings, trade shows, and energy forums.
- Promote energy conservation and represent the Enbridge brand.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Business or Engineering (preferred mechanical, chemical, or electrical).
- Minimum of four years of project engineering, project management, or sales experience in commercial sector environments.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with a team of professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, TEAMS, etc.
Preferred Skills:
- Membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or a similar professional organization.
- Energy Management certification (e.g., Certified Energy Manager).
- Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).
- Operational knowledge or design experience in HVAC, Boilers, and BAS control systems.
Working Conditions:
- This role is a mix of office-based (50%) and fieldwork (50%) and requires travel mainly within Ontario, including overnight stays. A valid ‘G’ License and a responsible driving record are required.
- Hybrid Work Model: In-office work on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with work-from-home options on Wednesday and Friday for eligible candidates.
