We're seeking a new Financial Accountant reporting to the Finance Manager for ECCO's Support Office based in Norwest. With a significant focus on Direct to Consumer (DtoC) channels, this is a business-critical role supporting the Company's financial objectives.

About the role:
The role of Financial Accountant operates as an integral part of the Finance team for both the Australian and New Zealand markets, reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the Accounts Assistant AP/AR. The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting financial control, month end reporting, reconciliations, cash flow and audit requests. This role requires an experienced person with strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple departments with strong communication skills.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Financial Control
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 (DAX365) & SAP financial operational activities & reconciliation between systems
- Balance sheet account reconciliations, fixed assets & general journal postings
- Retail stocktake planning, postings & results reporting
- Work with other Departments on their specific Finance needs, including payments, refunds, gift cards, credit checks, and other adhoc requirements
- New vendor & customer approvals & maintenance (master data)
- Weekly cash flow forecasts & cash banking controls
- Sales & inventory postings (Direct to Consumer channels)
- Assist in preparation of Statutory reporting
- Assist in preparation of Tax compliance & reporting
- Assist in Fraud mitigation and controls
- Assist with audit processes
Consolidation
- Monthly close for all entities in Business Planning & Consolidation system
- Financial postings in DAX365 & SAP including reconciliation
Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Degree qualification in Accounting or a related field
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards) preferred
- Previous experience in SAP & DAX365 very highly regarded
- FBT & GST knowledge
- Strong reconciliation skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Retail experience strongly valued (especially if having used DAX365)
- Large ERP experience (SAP preferred)
- A positive and engaging communication style with both financial & non-financial individuals
- Ability to build strong relations
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and in a small team environment
- Highly organized with strong administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
