About Us:

For over a century, our Paints & Coatings brands have helped shape the homes, buildings, and infrastructure that define Australia and New Zealand. From protecting iconic landmarks to adding colour to everyday spaces, our work makes a lasting impact.

Proudly part of the DuluxGroup and home to some of the region’s most trusted and beloved brands including Dulux, Berger, Acratex, British Paints, and Porter’s Paints - you’ll be joining a team of passionate people globally who are proud to create, innovate, and lead.

We’re consistently recognised as one of ANZ’s most trusted brands, and we’re committed to building better futures - for our customers, our communities, and our people.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Residential Housing Business Development Manager, you’ll play a critical role in protecting and growing Dulux’s New Housing business by building strong, long-term partnerships with established, emerging and prospective residential builders.

You’ll engage with a wide range of stakeholders across builder management, procurement, construction, marketing and studio selection teams to secure housing Builder specifications with Dulux interior decorative coatings and Acratex exterior render, texture and membrane systems, as well as cladding solutions, by way of supply agreements and ensure that those agreement specifications are successfully implemented on-site.

Operating with a strong new business focus, you’ll identify and convert opportunities with medium to large housing builders while also managing and growing existing accounts.

Working collaboratively across Dulux Trade, Acratex and other DuluxGroup business units, you’ll deliver compelling value propositions that extend beyond paint, support applicators and contractors, and drive profitable revenue growth. This is a highly autonomous, field-based role requiring strong planning, negotiation and presentation skills, regular site visits, and the ability to influence outcomes in a competitive and fast-moving market.

The role will encompass Residential housing customers in the Sydney Metropolitan - North and additionally cover the North Coastal Region requiring periodic travel.

Our Benefits:

  • Exclusive discounts on DuluxGroup products and partner offers
  • Stay active anytime, anywhere through our partnership with Fitness Passport
  • 20 weeks paid parental leave (primary carers) and 2 weeks partner leave from day one
  • Market leading learning, development and career pathways
  • Access to our Wellbeing Hub and full EAP support
  • Recognition programs that celebrate your impact

What We’re Looking for:

  • Previous sales experience with strong business development and account management skills
  • Sales experience, ideally within Residential new housing, construction, or paints and coatings arenas.
  • Proven ability to win new business while managing and growing existing builder relationships.
  • Experience in pitching for commercial agreements and managing tenders, with the confidence to engage high level key decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate agreements and influence multiple stakeholders
  • Confidence with cold calling, presentations and tender submissions
  • Customer-focused mindset with the resilience and drive to succeed in a competitive environment
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively and manage a large, dynamic territory
